Senior Backend Engineer, Ads Measurement Lift Studies

Position Overview

Reddit is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join the Ads Measurement Lift Studies team. This team is dedicated to enhancing the efficiency and user-friendliness of Reddit's advertising platform by building compelling experimentation products for advertisers. The successful candidate will help build the next generation of lift study/experimentation products to enable advertisers to understand the impact of their ad spend on Reddit.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance the conversion lift system and advertiser-facing measurement products.
• Collaborate with Product and cross-functional (XFN) teams to define and align on the product vision and roadmap.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration efforts, working closely with product managers, designers, data scientists, and other engineering teams to deliver high-impact, scalable solutions that exceed stakeholder expectations.
• Take ownership of your work, from concept to delivery, ensuring solutions are scalable, reliable, and meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
• Continuously learn and grow with the team, staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in software development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative or computer science-related field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, computer science).
• 5+ years of backend engineering experience in a highly scalable computing environment, with a passion for learning and adapting to new technologies.
• Prior experience in ads measurement and conversion lift systems and products.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders independently.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in the ads or experimentation platform space, with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in these areas.
• A deep understanding of data science concepts, particularly in the context of experimentation analysis.
• Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git.
