Requirements

Candidates should have experience maintaining and improving stability in a legacy PHP monolith (PHP 5.6, Zend components). Familiarity with later versions of PHP (PHP 8) is beneficial. Experience designing and implementing server-side APIs, data models, and business logic primarily in PHP with MySQL is required. Proficiency in creating and optimizing database schemas, queries, and interactions with relational databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL) is necessary. Experience with thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting applications is essential. Collaboration skills for reducing technical debt and delivering feature backlog items are important. Participation in code reviews and effective communication of project progress are also required.

Responsibilities

The Senior Backend Engineer will maintain and improve stability in the legacy PHP monolith.
