Roofr is seeking a Contract Engineer to join their team. Roofr is an early-stage, high-growth company focused on building innovative CRM and business management solutions for the roofing industry. As a Contract Engineer, you will have a significant impact on technical implementation and help steer the company's technology roadmap. Responsibilities

  • Help drive backend architecture to the next stage of Roofr’s systems.
  • Work in a fast-paced cross-functional team that values doing things ‘the right way’.
  • Contribute in an early-stage company with an engineering-first culture.
  • Contribute to all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle, from planning to delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to develop technical requirements.
  • Write clean code to develop functional web applications and reusable libraries.
  • Write unit, functional, and acceptance tests.
  • Troubleshoot and support production applications.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software development experience.
  • Proficiency with PHP language & Laravel framework.
  • Champion of agile methodologies and enjoys shipping code often and confidently.
  • Track record of breaking down complex problems into incremental solutions.
  • Proactively recommends initiatives to improve engineering technologies and culture.
  • Enjoys working in a collaborative environment where everyone helps each other grow.
  • Takes ownership of the product and is proud of the quality of their work.
  • Excellent communication skills and appreciates the value of good documentation.
  • Understands the challenges of early-stage company priorities.
  • Bonus Skills: DevOps, Big Data / Data Science, Machine Learning, GIS.
