Requirements

8+ years of professional experience as a backend engineer in a product-focused environment
Experience with productizing AI and LLMs with a track record of using AI and LLMs in production
Deep expertise in Kotlin, Java, or Scala
Significant experience with distributed systems, building and maintaining scalable, resilient services
Experience with event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka) and asynchronous communication principles
Good experience with relational databases, such as Postgres
Comfortable working with APIs, relational databases, and Docker
Product mindset, optimizing for user impact and understanding the "why" behind building
Ability to work collaboratively across functions and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Keen eye for detail and pride in crafting great user experiences

Responsibilities

Build, test, and ship end-to-end features across the stack—from APIs and data models to user interfaces
Collaborate with designers and PMs to translate user needs into working, intuitive product experiences
Own projects from concept to launch and beyond, balancing speed, quality, and scalability
Improve system performance and reliability across frontend and backend systems
Help evolve the codebase and technical architecture as the company scales
Contribute to shared tooling, component libraries, and best practices to level up the team
