  • Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, application or operation
  • Experience with autonomous systems and on-machine validation (top candidates)
  • Experience with Vector tools (CANape and CANalyzer) (top candidates)
  • Linux operating system experience (top candidates)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Engineering or related field (top candidates)

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and troubleshoot autonomy software systems used for autonomous machines, including onboard system validation integrating with current machine systems and autonomy sub-systems (Planning, Perception, Positioning) and supporting infrastructure (calibration, simulation, analytics, machine learning development pipelines)
  • Collaborate with other engineers to ensure internal and external clients’ needs are met
  • Focus on thorough test planning and execution with strong quality emphasis
  • Provide thorough documentation and communication of issues
  • Perform advanced data analysis and systems analysis to troubleshoot complex issues from test or customer sites and improve overall systems performance
  • Communicate technical status updates, review test plans, and work closely with other autonomy validation engineers, support teams, and product support
  • Keep up with industry trends and new technology breakthroughs through continuous learning (self/internet study, conferences, papers) and interaction with other autonomous engineers
