Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent degree, and a minimum of 7 years of industry experience. They must have significant experience working with modern C++ (C++14/17/20), strong knowledge of design patterns, data structures, and algorithms, and experience designing, building, and expanding complex software systems with real-time and performance constraints. Furthermore, candidates should have experience in some form of real-time simulation platform development and integration, and familiarity with Linux environments.
The Senior Autonomy Engineer II - Simulation will lead the design, manage, and scale the simulation infrastructure to enable fleet operation and continuous system development, partnering with vehicle autonomy, operations, and platform teams to improve performance and make simulation an effective predictive tool. They will write high-performance, generic libraries to enhance scalability, mentor and coach junior team members, and build and manage large-scale simulation pipelines in a cloud environment.
