Requirements

  • Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle; ability to use a structured methodology for delivering and managing new or enhanced software products to the marketplace
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles
  • Knowledge of relevant programming languages and tools; ability to test, write, design, debug, troubleshoot and maintain source codes and computer programs
  • Skilled at programming in C++
  • Familiarization with core robotics principles
  • Strong foundation in mathematics and engineering fundamentals
  • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, or PhD in an accredited Robotics, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree (top candidates)
  • Ability to work full-time at the Mossville, IL office (onsite five days a week)

Responsibilities

  • Participate in various aspects of the development process including design, documentation, coding, product quality, and validation
  • Develop production quality C++ software
  • Support requirements generation and architecture decisions and tradeoffs
  • Support functional safety software design and validation process
  • Collaborate with team members to execute on goals
  • Develop new autonomous truck models and features that provide critical value to customers
  • Solve real world problems by selecting the right approach and bringing those solutions to production
