Requirements

Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations
Knowledge of software development life cycle; ability to use a structured methodology for delivering and managing new or enhanced software products to the marketplace
Strong understanding of software engineering principles
Knowledge of relevant programming languages and tools; ability to test, write, design, debug, troubleshoot and maintain source codes and computer programs
Skilled at programming in C++
Familiarization with core robotics principles
Strong foundation in mathematics and engineering fundamentals
Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, or PhD in an accredited Robotics, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree (top candidates)
Ability to work full-time at the Mossville, IL office (onsite five days a week)

Responsibilities

Participate in various aspects of the development process including design, documentation, coding, product quality, and validation
Develop production quality C++ software
Support requirements generation and architecture decisions and tradeoffs
Support functional safety software design and validation process
Collaborate with team members to execute on goals
Develop new autonomous truck models and features that provide critical value to customers
Solve real world problems by selecting the right approach and bringing those solutions to production
