Senior Analyst - Strategic Finance

Position Overview

Virta Health is dedicated to transforming type 2 diabetes and weight-loss care by reversing metabolic conditions through innovations in technology, personalized nutrition, and virtual care. We are seeking a Senior Analyst to join our Strategic Finance team. This high-impact role is responsible for providing timely, relevant, and accurate reporting and analysis of financial and operating performance. You will support key strategic initiatives, generate insights into business performance, and provide leadership with effective decision-making support.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage budget and forecast models, collaborating with internal stakeholders to set targets and goals.
  • Develop and manage the Company’s operating forecasting model, working with Clinical Operations and Product Development teams to drive accuracy.
  • Analyze aspects of the clinical delivery model to highlight relevant data points and drive efficiencies at scale.
  • Partner with key stakeholders across various departments to inform strategic decision-making and drive growth.
  • Create, maintain, and improve reporting decks and dashboards, including for Board-level and investor reporting.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders throughout the organization to maintain and improve data integrity across systems, ensuring the accuracy of actuals and forecasts.

90-Day Plan

Within your first 90 days at Virta, you will:

  • Establish working relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Develop an understanding of each partner department and key inputs within the operating model.
  • Assist in managing Clinical Operations and Product Development forecasting.
  • Analyze and report on historical performance and variances across departments.
  • Support the preparation for executive and Board reporting.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in investment banking or consulting (with heavy finance exposure).
  • Experience in healthcare or a high-growth tech company is a plus.
  • Ability to work with large or complex data reports to analyze operational data and department performance.
  • Proven ability to build finance infrastructure for a fast-growing, dynamic company.
  • Operational mindset with a preference for cross-functional and collaborative work.
  • Skilled in identifying real solutions to solve key problems.
  • Proficiency in Google Office Suite and mastery of Excel.
  • Experience with NetSuite and planning tools such as Pigment, Anaplan, or Adaptive Insights is a plus.
  • Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, or a quantitative discipline.
