Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field OR 2 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, HR, or related area
- Experience handling employee documentation and information
- Background in Human Resources
- Familiarity with immigration laws and regulations related to employment eligibility verification
- Experience with E-Verify and/or employment verification systems
- Strong public speaking skills and well-spoken
- Outgoing personality while maintaining professional mannerism
- Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience conducting customer research and data analysis
- Ability to learn new systems quickly
Responsibilities
- Responding to I-9 and E-Verify-related questions
- Monitoring laws and regulations for specified areas
- Analyzing and executing data
- Regular contact with field HR
- Overseeing and managing compliance with employment eligibility verification processes
- Reviewing and validating documents submitted by employees during the hiring process and ensuring they meet legal requirements
- Facilitating live training
- Ensuring timely and accurate I-9 and E-Verify case submission execution
- Conducting regular internal audits to identify discrepancies or non-compliance issues related to Form I-9
- Collaborating with HR and legal teams to address issues
- Providing live training and guidance to HR staff, managers, and employees on I-9 completion, compliance, and related matters
- Staying informed about changes in immigration laws and regulations related to employment eligibility verification
- Drafting and updating policies and standard operating procedures with input from leadership
