Responsibilities

  • Ensure work areas are secured, cleaned per policies; instruct on safety and hazardous materials guidelines; adjust fixtures, shelving; keep floors clean and dry
  • Track, direct, manage merchandise flow: coordinate distribution from trucks to Layout Center, assist buyers/suppliers in setup/review, enter tracking data into systems, organize/count/document merchandise for transport
  • Ensure confidentiality: review sign-in sheets, verify no prohibited items, check supplier ID/system approval, confirm check-out via badge scans, badge return
  • Supervise associates: maintain confidentiality of personal/payroll info, write performance evaluations, train associates, conduct interviews/hiring recommendations, monitor behavior/performance, recommend improvements, manage schedules/time/attendance reports, identify discrepancies
  • Support vendor/customer service: establish contracts with SLAs, maintain repair/modification data files, communicate standards, ensure vendor compliance, evaluate/report performance
  • Manage department budget: gather/trend data, validate materials/labor spending, review invoicing, develop reports, approve expenditures, manage warranties, ensure landlord lease compliance
  • Provide expert advice/guidance on action plans, best practices; align efforts to business needs; build stakeholder relationships; identify/implement processes; monitor progress; adapt to changes
  • Model compliance with policies/procedures, support mission/values/ethics; incorporate into business plans; use Open Door Policy; demonstrate respect for individuals, positive experiences, embrace differences
