Requirements

  • College or University degree and/or relevant work experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Banking and investment operations with trade or cash support, or settlements within a financial institution
  • Strong knowledge of Trade, Cash, FX operations, and settlement cycles
  • Minimum 2+ years in the current role as Analyst or lateral role with 1+ years of experience
  • Familiarity with settlement platforms (e.g., SWIFT, CLS, DTCC, Euroclear, Crest)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for query and issue resolution
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders
  • Flexible to support NA shifts (7:30 PM or 10:30 PM)
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving: Ability to assess discrepancies and provide effective solutions
  • Attention to Detail: High accuracy in trade processing and risk assessment
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder engagement

Responsibilities

  • Support trade processing activities including prematching, confirmation, and settlement across asset classes (equities, fixed income, FX, etc.)
  • Support the entire trade lifecycle from confirmation to settlement, ensuring accuracy and timely processing
  • Validate and match trade details (equities, fixed income, FX) with counterparties, custodians, and clearing houses
  • Investigate and resolve trade breaks, fails, and discrepancies with counterparties, brokers, and internal teams
  • Ensure adherence to market cut-offs and regulatory guidelines for trade settlements
  • Identify and mitigate settlement risks, counterparty risks, and currency risks
  • Implement internal controls and best practices to minimize operational risk
  • Ensure compliance with local and global regulations (e.g., CSDR, TMPG, MiFID II)
  • Escalate unresolved issues to senior partners while providing potential solutions
  • Act as the key point of contact for brokers, custodians, Investment managers, and internal teams
  • Provide training and guidance to junior partners and peers, ensuring knowledge transfer and best practices
  • Perform processing of cash postings to books of accounts and notify breaks and ensure timely resolution
  • Take a proactive approach to problem solving, taking ownership of issues, and having the determination to follow through
