Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • At least 4 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Experience in agriculture, manufacturing, or related industries preferred
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely completion
  • Manage and review general ledger activity, journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals
  • Lead the preparation and analysis of consolidated financial statements and management reports
  • Develop, document, and maintain accounting policies and internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP
  • Partner with FP&A, operations, and leadership to provide meaningful financial insights and variance analysis
  • Manage audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure successful and timely completion
  • Mentor and supervise a team of accountants—providing guidance, development, and performance management
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function
  • Assist with special projects including system upgrades, cost analysis, and implementation of best practices
