- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required)
- 5+ years of construction industry accounting experience
- Strong understanding of job cost accounting, subcontractor compliance, and lien waiver processes
- Proficiency in construction accounting software
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to financial accuracy
- Knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
Responsibilities
- Oversee financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Manage job cost accounting and track project profitability
- Prepare and review financial reports, including income statements and cash flow statements
- Ensure subcontractors meet compliance requirements and manage lien waivers
- Work closely with project managers on subcontractor costs and contract compliance
- Monitor cash flow, forecasting, and financial planning
- Prepare financial reports for senior management and ownership
