Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, with a CPA being a plus. A minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in full-cycle accounting, ideally within a software or subscription-based business, is required. Proficiency in applying U.S. GAAP standards and audit concepts is essential, along with experience using ERP systems like NetSuite and CRM platforms such as Salesforce. Familiarity with revenue automation tools and a demonstrated interest in leveraging AI and automation technologies for process improvement are also important.
The Senior Accountant will manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparing journal entries and reconciliation schedules in accordance with US GAAP. Responsibilities include reviewing customer contracts, applying ASC 606 revenue recognition policies, managing multi-element subscriptions revenue, and reconciling deferred revenue and unbilled receivables. The role involves partnering with RevOps to align CRM and billing platforms with accounting policies, leading automation and system implementations for revenue processes, and serving as a subject matter expert on ASC 606 and SaaS revenue accounting. Additionally, the Senior Accountant will analyze monthly financial results and variances, manage the procure-to-pay process, monitor employee T&E expenses, assist in defining and improving internal controls and policies, contribute to accounting system enhancements, and support the annual audit process. Ad-hoc analysis and projects for finance teams will also be part of the role.
