Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3+ years of progressive accounting experience (mix of public accounting and industry preferred)
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including ASC 606 and ASC 842
Proficiency with Oracle Fusion or similar ERP systems, and strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, modeling)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Keen attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative mindset
Preferred Qualifications
CPA certification (active or in progress)
Big 4 or large regional public accounting firm experience
Experience in a manufacturing or technology environment
Responsibilities
Cash Reconciliation: Monitor daily bank activity and reconcile against recorded transactions to identify and resolve discrepancies
Revenue and AR: Coordinate billing, collections, and reporting to ensure timely and accurate order management and revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606
Fixed Assets: Maintain fixed asset subledger to ensure accurate asset capitalization, classification, depreciation, and disposals
Leases: Assist in preparing new lease schedules and maintain monthly lease entries in compliance with ASC 842
Month-End Close: Lead month-end activities, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and review of general ledger accounts for accuracy and appropriate classification
Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing consolidated financial statements and management reporting packages
Technical Accounting: Research relevant guidance in the FASB codification and draft technical accounting memos to support compliance and documentation
Coordination with Third Parties: Serve as the liaison with external auditors, tax preparers, and other professional service providers; prepare PBCs and manage communications
Tax Compliance: Prepare and file sales/use tax and property tax returns; support preparation of annual tax filings and related schedules
Ad-Hoc Projects: Contribute to process improvement initiatives, system enhancements, and development of new reports and workpapers to strengthen the control environment and efficiency
