Self-starter instincts, curiosity, positivity, and the ability to translate accounting concepts to a business audience are also necessary. Bonus points are awarded for SaaS or tech industry experience.
The Senior Accountant will execute the month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and rollforward schedules, while also shaping and improving reconciliation and reporting processes. They will manage complex accounting areas such as deferred commissions, stock-based compensation, and capitalization of internal-use software. Responsibilities include supporting the preparation of financial reporting packages and statements in compliance with US GAAP, analyzing quarterly and annual flux results, and building internal controls and documentation. The role involves serving as a resource for accounting questions, participating in process improvement projects and automation initiatives, researching accounting standard updates, and liaising with external auditors.
