Candidates must possess at least 8 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a consumer-facing, international for-profit company such as SaaS. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective coordination across virtual platforms. Applicants located in Eastern/Central Standard time zones are strongly preferred.
The Senior Accountant will lead monthly and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting. They will oversee accounts payable, employee reimbursements, and credit card expense review, while managing the relationship with outsourced accounting providers. The role involves ensuring accurate accounting of global revenue, monitoring compliance with indirect tax obligations, and coordinating tax registration, filing, and remittance activities across jurisdictions. Additionally, the Senior Accountant will strengthen and document internal financial controls, support financial system improvements, enhance budgeting and forecasting processes, and assist in audit readiness and tax filings.
