Requirements

  • Highly skilled in 401(k) savings and retirement plan management, serving as subject matter expert for US/PR qualified and non-qualified savings and retirement plans (operations and regulatory environment)
  • Experience in operations, execution, administration, and operational communications of benefits, including 401(k) plan, Benefits Equalization Plan (BEP), and other retirement programs
  • Ability to manage implementation of new and modified 401(k) savings and retirement plans, including processes, procedures, change management, system requirements, vendor requirements, and documentation
  • Proficiency in handling day-to-day operational activities, plan design implementation, process streamlining, and adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Capability to address, solution, and resolve vendor issues, Tier 2 inquiries, escalations, ad-hoc inquiries, audit requests, compliance, contract management, and governance
  • Experience partnering with Total Rewards Strategy, Service Delivery Management Partners, People Services Capability Center (including Payroll), Third-Party Vendors, Legal, Corporate Secretary’s office, Compliance, and Finance
  • Knowledge of embedding robust controls in processes, SOX controls, compliance, and audit activities
  • Familiarity with contributions, distributions, loans, withdrawals, vesting, payroll deductions, statutory and legal filings, coordinating with finance, tax, legal, internal/external auditors, and vendors

Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent customer experience, monitor trends and issues impacting employee experience with the plan
  • Manage operations and administration of BMS US/PR Savings and Retirement Plans, including contributions, distributions, loans, withdrawals, vesting, payroll deductions, statutory and legal filings
  • Coordinate with finance, tax, legal, internal and external auditors, and applicable vendors
  • Ensure robust controls are embedded in each process and operating as designed; support SOX controls, compliance, and audit activities
  • Ensure compliance for all plan documents and statutory requirements related to benefits, savings, and retirement plans operations
  • Actively participate in the audit process and fulfill regulatory reporting requirements
  • Handle vendor issues, Tier 2 inquiries, escalations, ad-hoc inquiries, audit requests, and provide information for compliance, audits, contract management, and governance
  • Manage implementation of new and modified plans, covering processes, procedures, change management, system/vendor requirements, and documentation
