For Security Spec (SG6): Bachelor's degree or associate degree with one-year relevant experience in system administration/help desk/security (cyber or physical) OR High School Diploma/GED with 2 years relevant experience in IT system administration/help desk/security (cyber or physical) OR graduation from an approved Cybersecurity Program OR non-degree qualifications (such as hands-on demonstrated ability in a technical interview/assessment). No additional experience required beyond the above
For Security Spec Sr. (SG7): Bachelor's degree or associate degree with 2 years relevant experience in system administration/help desk/security (cyber or physical) OR High School Diploma/GED with 3 years relevant experience in IT system administration/help desk/security (cyber or physical) OR graduation from an approved Cybersecurity Program OR non-degree qualifications (such as hands-on demonstrated ability in a technical interview/assessment); plus 2 or more years of Information Technology related experience OR 1 or more years of security related experience (which may include military/government work experience) in addition to the above
Ability to work some travel, overtime, shift work, or be "On call" 24x7x365
For SOC/CIRC: Ability to work rotating shifts throughout the month/year covering all possible schedule variations/rotation possibilities
Ability to plan activities effectively within the context of round-the-clock, shift operations

Participate in basic Security projects/initiatives/incidents
Gather data and information according to assigned tasks, including intelligence as a first line of defense against threats, vulnerabilities, exploits, and attacks against the enterprise
Determine appropriate course of action with Supervisory assistance
Develop clear documentation and convey information to senior team members or others to prevent situations from escalating
Obtain and adhere to strict procedures established to ensure effective and successful operations within Security
Plan activities effectively within the context of assigned projects or tasks
Develop working relationships with other Security personnel to better understand all areas of Security and ensure seamless operations
Establish basic understanding of Security operations and processes, including research and investigation of security events or project related activities
Assess security controls through security testing or other means to ensure effectiveness
Create documentation and work activities in a clear, comprehensive manner, maintaining high quality work
Demonstrate problem solving, research, and functional area knowledge
