Requirements

The ideal candidate will have over 2 years of experience in security engineering, SRE, or SOC roles within a cloud services environment, with demonstrated experience using SIEM tools and investigating security incidents. A basic understanding of AWS or GCP, IDS, case management tools, Linux (RedHat preferred), and broad security topics like encryption, application security, and malware is required. Knowledge of network, VoIP, and web-related protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, and SIP is also necessary. Preferred qualifications include certifications such as GCIA, GCIH, GCFA, or OSCP, and experience with security tools like Crowdstrike, Splunk, and ELK.

Responsibilities

The Security Operations Center Analyst will implement a comprehensive security monitoring, incident response, and threat intelligence program for RingCentral’s global cloud service, corporate, and development environments. Key duties include monitoring security events, analyzing and investigating alarms, maintaining daily operational activities, and engaging with internal and external teams to mitigate and resolve security cases. The role also involves maintaining documentation, identifying and tracking suspicious system activity, generating actionable analysis and threat intelligence, and reporting observations to relevant personnel. This position also participates in on-call rotations.
