Requirements

2 years of previous work history/education
Previous security experience helpful but not required
Previous guest service experience helpful but not required
Ability to communicate and handle confrontational and intoxicated event attendees
High tolerance to remain level under pressure and in stressful situations
Ability to think and work as a team player
Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s Service Excellence standards
Successfully complete a background check
Valid driver’s license without limitations or restrictions and meet company’s insurability standards (will be required to complete Motor Vehicle Record)

Responsibilities

Enforce alcohol perimeter (into/out of events) while maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor
Control access to events
ID and ensure that event attendees are 21 years and older
Ensure adherence to Company Policies
General Property Security (Help secure property before, during and after events)
Conduct pat down searches and bag checks for alcohol compliance
Be in company vehicle (trucks and snowmobile) 50% of time in varying terrain and conditions
Responsible for hourly security checks of all Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation properties
Respond to fire and or burglar alarms as necessary
Deal with guests and other individuals under varying circumstances
May be required to transport guests in shuttle van
Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
Set up, tear down, and cleanup of events
Other duties, as assigned
