Requirements

  • 2 years of previous work history/education
  • Previous security experience helpful but not required
  • Previous guest service experience helpful but not required
  • Ability to communicate and handle confrontational and intoxicated event attendees
  • High tolerance to remain level under pressure and in stressful situations
  • Ability to think and work as a team player
  • Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s Service Excellence standards
  • Successfully complete a background check
  • Valid driver’s license without limitations or restrictions and meet company’s insurability standards (will be required to complete Motor Vehicle Record)

Responsibilities

  • Enforce alcohol perimeter (into/out of events) while maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor
  • Control access to events
  • ID and ensure that event attendees are 21 years and older
  • Ensure adherence to Company Policies
  • General Property Security (Help secure property before, during and after events)
  • Conduct pat down searches and bag checks for alcohol compliance
  • Be in company vehicle (trucks and snowmobile) 50% of time in varying terrain and conditions
  • Responsible for hourly security checks of all Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation properties
  • Respond to fire and or burglar alarms as necessary
  • Deal with guests and other individuals under varying circumstances
  • May be required to transport guests in shuttle van
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
  • Set up, tear down, and cleanup of events
  • Other duties, as assigned
