Requirements

5+ years of experience in the security domain
2+ years as an engineering manager leading a software or security engineering team
Experience in cultivating and supporting others’ growth as an engineering manager
Passionate about security engineering
Experience leading delivery for complex technical initiatives combining data, software and security engineering
Excellent leadership and relationship-building skills
Thrive when developing extraordinary people and great teams (and great products)
Strategic problem solver and great at sorting out ambiguity
Comfortable making impactful decisions
Based in Toronto, Canada (with flexibility for remote work and some in-person meetings)

Responsibilities

Lead, empower, challenge, and coach your team
Help craft, and then expertly deliver on our critical initiatives
Prioritize quality, and maintain and improve the health of owned technology
Collaborate closely with partners, collaborators and other leads across Spotify
Work passionately to ensure your team is doing the right things, while not spreading too thinly (maintaining a healthy balance of innovation, support and maintenance)
Drive the strategy and execution for the team, working across security domains and partners from around the company
Support a team of dedicated security and software engineers to help them grow and excel in their roles
Develop and maintain internal security platform to collect, analyze and prioritize security findings from a variety of tools and systems
