Security Automation Engineer

Candidates should have 5+ years of professional experience in IT, security, or related technical fields. A strong ability to apply critical thinking to fast-moving problems and create progress in their solutions is required. Hands-on experience with Python, including the ability to read and write code, is essential. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS services like Lambda, SNS, API Gateway, EventBridge, and Secrets Manager, is necessary. Experience working with REST APIs and integration tools such as Postman is also required. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently are crucial. A growth mindset with the ability to learn new technologies quickly is important. Knowledge of SIEM platforms and query languages is necessary. Preferred qualifications include experience with JavaScript, applying query languages like CrowdStrike Query Language (CQL) for security event analysis, prior exposure to server-less/cloud-native engineering practices, understanding of security tools and general IT systems, experience with GitOps and CI/CD implementation, experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, and experience with automation in a security or operations context.
