Requirements

  • Expertise in Virology techniques, with emphasis on IVV Assays, cell culturing, and contamination control
  • Experience in analytical methods development, technical transfer, validation, and lifecycle management
  • Knowledge of lifecycle management of existing technologies and instrumentation
  • Ability to provide analytical technical leadership and participate in cross-functional teams
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, regulatory requirements, and cGMPs
  • Capability to act as SME for technologies/business systems, including equipment identification, sourcing, installation, and qualification

Responsibilities

  • Support the introduction, validation, and on-going technical agenda for pipeline and commercial analytical methods and technology
  • Ensure methods are scientifically robust with required performance attributes to satisfy stakeholder needs
  • Execute and/or oversee testing protocols in accordance with local procedure and regulatory requirements
  • Develop strong links with Global Regulatory Affairs and participate in the preparation and review of regulatory submissions
  • Provide training and mentorship to QC team members and cross-functionally
  • Act as SME for one or more technologies and/or business systems within QC, including identification, sourcing, installation, and qualification of new equipment
  • Assure critical reagents are appropriately qualified and final products are analyzed and authorized
  • Lead analytical investigations for non-conformances using Root Cause Analysis, ensure countermeasures are complete
  • Work with onsite technical teams to improve validation state and drive analytical variability reduction
  • Support writing of Annual Product Reviews (APRs) on Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients and Laboratory Periodic Review Reports (PRRs)
  • Support and participate in self-inspection or other audits with reference to analytical aspects of cGMPs
