Requirements

  • B.S. or M.S. in Immunology, Cell/Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering or related discipline with 5+ academic and/or industrial experience for Scientist
  • Ph.D. in Immunology, Cell/Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering or related discipline with 2+ years of academic and/or industrial experience (abstract/manuscript publications preferred for PhD)
  • Strong desire to work within a team structure and to develop, mentor and coach team members leading to their success, engagement and growth
  • Ability to work under technical supervision, perform technical, strategic and operational tasks independently and lead complex and functional general activities
  • Extensive experience in mammalian cell culture techniques, including isolation of immune cell subsets

Responsibilities

  • Design/co-design and execute experiments and testing to support early and late-stage BMS cell therapy product development
  • Lead from the bench with assay development under strict timelines as well as routine testing requests of CAR T products, and analysis and interpretation of characterization data to support product clinical development for regulatory filing purposes, manufacturing investigations, life cycle management process support, and translational team requests
  • Lead or contribute to qualification of characterization methods to support CAR-T product CMC data packages
  • Contribute to acquisition of deeper understanding of product biology, and support mechanism of action studies for CAR T cell programs
  • Present internal scientific findings and relevant literature observations within the functional area, as needed
  • Contribute to sample management as needed and the basic maintenance and troubleshooting of instrumentation, as needed
  • Contribute to process/technology improvements and to scientific/technical data review and writing (e.g., regulatory documents, protocols, etc.) as required
  • Ensure proper operation and perform routine maintenance of laboratory equipment
  • Maintain a safe workplace in accordance with company and OSHA policies/procedures
