Requirements

  • Must be willing and able to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit for a minimum of 8 hours
  • Ability to become certified in Tyson’s Lock Out/Tag Out program
  • Must be willing and able to pinch/grip product/equipment
  • Familiar with safe operation and use of high-pressure hoses and sanitation chemicals
  • Must be willing and able to perform the following tasks for periods of 8 hours on concrete floor: bending, twisting, reaching, standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting
  • Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
  • Must have 6 months continuous employment in the last 18 months
  • Preferred: At least 6 months of relevant machine operator, warehouse, agriculture, or production experience

Responsibilities

  • Dry pickup area
  • Break down and set up equipment where needed
  • Use of high-pressure hose to rinse area and floor
  • Use of various chemicals to foam and scrub floor
  • Visually check area for cleanliness
  • Ability to work closely with Quality Assurance and USDA
  • Uphold the principles of SQF 2000
  • Work schedule will vary depending on production
  • Perform various other tasks as assigned by Lead person, Supervisor, or Superintendent
  • Cleaning and sanitizing work areas, assembling and disassembling equipment while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures
