Requirements

Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in Life Science or a Bachelor’s degree, with a PhD in a Life Science field preferred, and a minimum of 7 years of prior sales experience, ideally in life science reagents or consumables. Previous laboratory experience is essential, along with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets for at least three years. Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills are required, along with the ability to effectively communicate with various customer levels. A valid driver’s license and approximately 50-75% field time in the assigned territory are also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Sales Specialist – Gene Writing and Editing – EMEA will partner with Territory Sales Managers to develop and manage accounts strategically, focusing on GWE product line only, including lead qualification, proposal development, and objection handling. This role will act as a commercial bridge between scientific interest and purchasing decisions, assisting TSMs in closing opportunities. The position involves researching and understanding market growth opportunities, developing a business plan, and driving revenue growth for the Gene Writing and editing business in Western and Northern Europe, along with the UK. Maintaining and developing strategic partnerships with key customers and leveraging internal resources to ensure high customer satisfaction is also part of the responsibilities, as well as providing customer support and satisfaction.
