Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years or Master's with 1+ years in Engineering or Business discipline (Master’s degree in engineering or business a plus)
  • 3+ years of experience in sales to consumer electronics and/or parallel industries, ideally in sales or marketing roles of increasing levels of responsibility
  • Proven track record in sales and account management
  • Strong knowledge of customer sourcing & supplier management strategies and contract negotiations
  • Interest and experience in display applications and consumer electronics (Laptops, Phones, Monitors and TV)
  • Self-starter with the ability to work across geographies and navigate language and cultural barriers
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Inclusive, adapting style to the situation and diverse global norms
  • Avid learner, approaching challenges with curiosity and resilience, seeking data to build understanding
  • Collaborative, building relationships and humbly offering input

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the sales process for Samsung Display, including working directly with customers to understand and evaluate their project requirements and milestones, provide relevant support, and coordinate with senior leadership and local/headquarter engineering teams
  • Represent Samsung Display while managing and expanding existing lines of business
  • Rapidly learn and understand all aspects of customers’ business and their display and product requirements, and communicate Samsung Display’s competitive advantages
  • Manage day-to-day engagements with customers, including interfacing with customers’ procurement and engineering teams to gain knowledge and insight of customer program requirements
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and act as an advisor to the customer
  • Provide detailed tracking and analyses of customer programs, including program schedules & milestones, volume & revenue projections (and customers’ likelihood to achieve same), and prepare responses to RFIs & RFQs
  • Coordinate customer engagement efforts with Sales Management, Marketing, & Engineering to grow SAM and TAM at customers
  • Work towards strategic business goals as identified by management
  • Utilize customer engagement experience to develop trust and strong relationships with customers
  • Ensure appropriate legal agreements (e.g., NDA, Supply Agreements, MoUs, LoIs, LTAs, etc.) are in place in collaboration with Management and Legal
  • Understand technical details of customers’ products and communicate Samsung Display’s competitive advantages
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned
