Requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for discussions with Clune and trade-partner communities, from field employees to executives
  • Strong planning skills to organize weekly and daily schedules involving meetings, walk-throughs, etc
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate and detailed records
  • Self-motivated and able to independently prioritize and execute short- and long-term objectives
  • Ability to be timely and prompt to act as a dependable resource to project teams
  • Strong computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office suite, iOS applications)
  • Good driving record and reliable means of transportation for project visits
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger/handle/feel, talk/hear, climb stairs/ladders, and walk on uneven ground
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in occupational safety, Construction Management, or related field; or equivalent combination of 2-4 years education and experience

Responsibilities

  • Act as an internal consultant to all company business units with respect to safety
  • Ensure Clune employee, trade partner, visitor, and vendor compliance with Clune safety guidelines, project requirements, local/state/national safety regulations
  • Provide safety guidance in the planning stages for projects
  • Attend and contribute to company and project safety meetings
  • Attend outside training for added designations and to keep up with industry changes
  • Role model professional behavior for Clune employees, trade partners, visitors, and vendors
  • Work with Regional Safety Manager to ensure compliance with safety and environmental procedures for profitability/productivity on jobsites
  • Conduct safety audits and evaluate/ensure improvements for jobsite safety
  • Work closely with Risk Management Department to mitigate claims by prioritizing safety on projects and assist with incident investigations when necessary
