Requirements

Currently studying towards a degree in Engineering (including Aeronautical/Aerospace, Electrical/Electronic, Systems and Safety) or Physics (minimum 2:2)
British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship
Able to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS)

Responsibilities

Assess and assure safety and reliability aspects of complex weapon systems (developing skills in both safety and reliability)
Gain experience in Safety and Reliability Engineering within the Defence sector
Support product development across phases from conception through testing, trials, manufacture, and customer delivery
Apply Safety and Reliability Engineering techniques and best practices, such as Hazard Analysis, Failure Mode Effects & Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and Safety or Reliability Case Reports
Build and secure networks with stakeholders within and outside MBDA
Support design teams to deliver safe and reliable products on time and on cost
Implement business processes with guidance from Guided Weapon Safety Officers or Technical Experts
Facilitate or attend Customer Safety Panel meetings or Community of Practice events
