Requirements

  • Experience acting as chief architect, teacher, conductor, and enforcer of S&OP processes
  • Ability to coordinate with LATAM region to build NA S&OP process
  • Expertise in working cross-functionally and benchmarking with industry peers and thought leaders
  • Skills in defining S&OP process steps, evaluating adoption, designing process flow, key success measures, and interactions with other processes
  • Capability to implement transformational or continuous improvement changes and benchmark processes
  • Proficiency in implementing long-range capacity planning over 5-15 year horizons
  • Strong decision-making in S&OP process design, implementation, and improvement projects, with a challenge to the status quo mindset
  • Excellent communication skills with stakeholders, understanding multiple viewpoints, and developing common outcomes
  • Ability to foster productive dialogue, manage high-tension situations with diplomacy and tact
  • Experience establishing relationships with executives, S&OP coordinators across geographies/business units, other process owners (finance, supply, etc.), global supply chain, commercial, finance, supply chain functions, and product development
  • Project management skills for implementing process improvements
  • Knowledge of assessing process maturity in collaboration with coordinators
  • Ability to align process changes with organizational changes (e.g., commercial/finance, structure, M&A)
  • Expertise in creating/managing design adoption evaluation criteria and framework
  • Skills in enabling process design through technology and analytics, managing regional/global technology upgrades
  • Proficiency in defining key S&OP metrics, tracking benefits to business metrics
  • Ability to ensure timely S&OP review processes and multi-functional team compliance/participation
  • Experience documenting/mapping business processes (current/future state) and contributing to business cases/impact assessments

Responsibilities

  • Tailor and guard the S&OP process standard, including defining steps, evaluating adoption, designing flow/measures/interactions, implementing improvements, and benchmarking
  • Implement and execute long-range capacity planning over 5-15 year horizons
  • Make decisions on S&OP process design and support project implementation/improvement
  • Communicate with stakeholders across the organization, align viewpoints, and develop common strategies/plans
  • Work with stakeholders to agree on business process standardization
  • Foster dialogue and manage tensions diplomatically
  • Establish relationships with executives, S&OP coordinators, process owners, supply chain, commercial, finance, and product development teams
  • Form company-wide strategic roadmap to improve S&OP maturity
  • Align roadmap with key stakeholders across functions, hierarchy, and business parts
  • Manage projects to implement process improvements
  • Document current process in S&OP playbook and update as needed
  • Assess current process maturity with S&OP coordinators across business units/NA geographies
  • Align process changes with impacts from organizational changes
  • Create and manage design adoption evaluation criteria/framework
  • Enable process design through technology/analytics and manage technology upgrades regionally/globally
  • Define key S&OP metrics and descriptions
  • Track benefits and improvements in business metrics
  • Ensure S&OP review processes occur on time and teams comply/participate
  • Document/map business processes for approved projects (current/future state)
