Prior waste experience (eligible for up to 5K incentive)
Responsibilities
Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle, ensuring tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order. Report any safety issues on standard reports
Safely operate the heavy truck along the designated route and to the disposal site, following route sheets, maps, and servicing customers as assigned by the dispatcher and/or supervisor
Operate manual and/or automatic controls to lift and load refuse, operate the compactor, and dispose of collected material at the designated facility
Courteously interact with customers, dispatchers, and others to ensure timely and professional service
Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag them according to departmental procedures
Continuously monitor waste for unacceptable waste
Clean area around accidental waste spills, adhering to all safety standards and policies
Monitor vehicle condition to minimize downtime and clean waste from the packer blade and truck body (where appropriate) on each disposal trip
Complete required route/productivity sheets, VCRs, and other reports
Maintain adherence to productivity standards for the department
Follow all required safety policies and procedures
Actively participate in the Company’s ReSOP program
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Ensure the vehicle is in compliance with the Company’s safety standards, adhering to all Company, state, and federal regulations, and completing vehicle condition reports (“VCRs”) daily to report any vehicle defects for timely repair
