Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Materials and Process Engineering, Material Science, or a related field
  • 1+ years of industry experience within a manufacturing environment working on manufacturing process development, manufacturing engineering or similar
  • Proficiency in material science principles and their application to manufacturing processes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced and innovative environment with quickly changing priorities
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across multiple teams
  • Must secure work authorization in the United States and maintain ongoing work authorization beginning at the time of hire through the entirety of employment
  • Must fall under one of the following categories to comply with U.S. export regulations: (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful permanent resident (i.e. current green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158

Responsibilities

  • Develop and improve robotic manufacturing processes for applications such as, but not limited to, sanding, polishing, spray coating/coating removal, etc
  • Collaborate with engineers to develop and optimize robotic manufacturing processes for surface finishing and treatment
  • Support the team in enhancing process efficiency and product quality by applying knowledge of material science
  • Assist in the implementation of new end-of-arm tools (EOAT) for robotic manufacturing processes
  • Collaborate closely with customers to understand their specific requirements and provide tailored automation solutions
  • Work closely with the engineering team and manufacturers to integrate process improvements and automation solutions effectively
  • Assist in analyzing manufacturing data to support process optimization efforts
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in material science and automation technology
