Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months mechanic work experience documented in work history or graduate/student of industrial maintenance training program (can be combination)
  • Willing to work all shifts, up to 12 hours on feet
  • Able to lift 70 lbs periodically throughout shift
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to use math for work-related computations (machinery, fluid capacities)
  • Willing to learn Tyson SAP software for work orders and daily documentation
  • Able to read invoices, packing slips, records of materials
  • Possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork
  • Willing to complete all required training
  • Able to perform physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Accept rehires with 3x rule and 180-day waiting period

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and promote Tyson safety culture
  • Receive training as required
  • Perform various positions as required/assigned
  • Assist maintenance supervisor with personnel and equipment
  • Assign maintenance techs to equipment during process periods
  • Assist with preventative maintenance and breakdowns
  • Train maintenance techs on equipment
  • Utilize computer-based PM program to track equipment maintenance
  • Fill in for absenteeism or assist in other areas of plant
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all equipment and company assets
  • Set up, adjust, and break down production line machinery
  • Keep machinery running to maintain continuous production
  • Adhere to Tyson policies and procedures while maintaining safe work environment
