Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
  • 4+ years of progressive civil engineering experience in roadway/highway design
  • Working knowledge of OpenRoads Designer
  • Willing to work as part of a team
  • Commitment to quality and excellence

Responsibilities

  • Supporting project managers in the planning and execution of roadway design projects
  • Assisting in the preparation of project proposals, budgets, and timelines
  • Conducting engineering analysis and design for assigned projects
  • Designing complete projects, or components of projects, and preparing complete project documents
  • Applying engineering techniques, methods, and design criteria to support project execution
  • Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project goals are met
  • Preparing and reviewing project documentation, reports, and specifications
  • Collaborating with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies
  • May be involved in the mentorship and development of junior level staff
  • May perform other duties associated with this role
