Experienced professional civil engineering leader
Ability to oversee roadway design team’s projects and staff for the State of Illinois
Expertise in mentoring Roadway Team Managers and Project Managers
Skills in driving project profitability, quality, and accountability
Capability to investigate and develop new clients within Illinois
Experience in expanding roadway design teams' footprint in existing and new offices
Ability to foster a positive work environment
Collaboration skills with sales, revenue leadership, and Discipline Leader

Responsibilities

Oversee all roadway design team’s projects and staff for Illinois
Ensure operational strategies and financial decisions align with discipline and firm strategies
Coordinate with Discipline Leaders and Regional Leaders to develop and implement operational strategies
Enforce accountability measures for Project Managers and drive team performance
Direct division personnel and activities for project success
Collaborate with Project Managers on client interactions
Monitor project progress, perform QC/QA, and prepare reports on trends and progress
Ensure project deliverables are completed on time and within budget
Plan, organize, and direct department activities, including project management, design, and construction oversight
Provide leadership in planning, design, and execution of major projects
Serve as a project manager on various projects
Direct multiple staff, identify staffing needs, recruit and hire, conduct performance appraisals, allocate resources, and promote positive work culture
Mentor direct reports and project managers, identify training needs for staff development
Work closely with regional leadership on client relationships and business development
