About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated, strategic, and detail-oriented Risk Manager to join our Enterprise Risk Team and help scale our global product risk management function. This role will focus on embedding effective risk identification, evaluation, and governance across the end-to-end product lifecycle, supporting both existing and emerging product lines—including but not limited to cryptocurrency, trading platforms, wallets, and adjacent financial services.

The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in enterprise and product risk management, with exposure to crypto risk, market/trading risks, and emerging technology risk. You will collaborate cross-functionally across Compliance, Legal, Product, Engineering, Finance, and Security to embed a consistent and scalable approach to risk-informed product design and delivery. This role reports to OKX' Group Head of Product Risk.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute risk and control assessments across the product lifecycle, covering strategic, operational, technology, financial, market, regulatory, and third-party risks at both global and local levels.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Compliance, Legal, Finance, Security) to review new product initiatives and minor/major changes to existing products, ensuring comprehensive risk identification and mitigation planning.
  • Drive the implementation of a scalable Product Governance Framework, embedding risk management principles into key decision-making and development processes across business units.
  • Maintain robust risk documentation within the enterprise GRC system (Workiva), including risk registers, control assessments, action plans, and ownership tracking.
  • Support the preparation of regular and ad-hoc standardized and visually compelling product risk reports for risk committees, boards, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor external events (e.g., regulatory changes, cyber threats, market shifts) and evaluate their implications on current and upcoming product offerings.
  • Lead or contribute to strategic risk initiatives and cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing risk culture, resilience, and accountability across the product portfolio.
  • Promote awareness and adoption of risk management practices across all levels of the organization through training, stakeholder engagement, and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in product risk management, with at least 2 years focused on cryptocurrency or digital asset risk.
  • Proven experience in conducting product risk assessments, including risk identification, analysis, and mitigation strategies.
  • Strong understanding of digital platforms, product development cycles, and associated risks (e.g., technology, market, operational, and compliance risks).
  • Proven experience with risk frameworks, stress testing, and scenario analysis in the context of digital assets.
  • Understanding of regulatory environments and compliance requirements.
