Requirements

  • 5-8+ years of revenue accounting experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • Deep understanding and experience with ASC 606 and US GAAP revenue recognition standards
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint; experience with NetSuite and Salesforce preferred
  • Public accounting and accounting operations experience strongly preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to balance multiple time-sensitive tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to work effectively across departments
  • Driven and self-motivated, with a proactive, can-do attitude

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute revenue close procedures to deliver accurate, timely financial results in accordance with US GAAP
  • Oversee the revenue recognition compliance with GAAP and ASC 606 standards, reviewing and analyzing contracts—standard and non-standard—to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations and variance analyses related to revenue and deferred revenue
  • Partner with Sales and Operations to evaluate financial impact of contract terms and ensure proper documentation
  • Support quarterly reviews and annual audits, prepare audit and disclosure schedules
  • Contribute to process optimization and internal control enhancements, including process walk-throughs and ensure compliance with SOX
  • Provide expertise for ad hoc special accounting and financial projects as needed
