Requirements

  • 3-5 years relevant work experience
  • Public accounting or industry experience in energy/midstream
  • Strong analytical and research skills and ability to produce results under deadlines
  • Experience with revenue accounting and application of ASC 606
  • Ability to apply strong attention to detail and multi-task

Responsibilities

  • Manage application of ASC 606 to customer contracts
  • Assist in implementation and maintenance of contract summary
  • Prepare and maintain annual maintenance and reimbursable invoices to customers
  • Prepare, lead and review monthly revenue accruals for all projects
  • Prepare price volume analysis fluctuation analysis by asset
  • Maintain deferred revenue schedules
  • Perform and review accounting reconciliation and on a timely basis
  • Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet
  • Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and perform initial review of G/L
  • Assist with technical accounting memorandums
  • Assist with internal and external audits, providing documentation and explanations as needed
  • Assist with special projects when they arise and are assigned
  • Maintaining revenue recognition and ensuring accounting treatment aligns with customer contracts and applicable accounting standards
  • Reviewing contracts
  • Maintaining accurate revenue and gas volume schedules
  • Supporting financial reporting processes
