Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a CPA or progress towards CPA certification being strongly preferred. A minimum of 1-2 years of public accounting experience with public companies and 2-3 years in industry performing technical revenue accounting is required. Experience with consumption and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and NetSuite ARM are also necessary. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and take ownership of projects in a fast-paced environment, along with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
The Revenue Accountant will be responsible for the end-to-end review of complex sales contracts to ensure accurate revenue recognition under ASC 606. They will manage key areas of the revenue month-end close, including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and delivering flux analysis. Responsibilities also include driving continuous improvement in the quote-to-cash process, serving as a point of contact for audits, preparing PBC schedules, and addressing auditor inquiries. Additionally, the role involves leading technical accounting research, documenting findings, and presenting conclusions, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams and preparing documentation for revenue recognition policies and procedures.
