Ability to fill multiple roles including Cashier, Stocker, and Customer Courtesy
Flexibility to work in any department (Front End, Meat/Frozen, Produce/Dairy, Dry Goods/Culinary Equipment & Supply) based on needs
Proficiency in POS systems, including scanning merchandise with hand-held scan gun or 10 keypad, weighing products, and looking up unscannable items
Ability to use reach trucks and pallet jacks for product movement and stocking
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and proprietary software
Availability for full-time schedule: Wednesday-Saturday 10:00am-7:00pm, Sunday 8:30am-5:30pm (Monday-Tuesday off)

Responsibilities

Maintain superior customer service, develop relationships with customers, and utilize CHEF’STORE Way training
Perform sales and cash functions efficiently and accurately at POS, including scanning, weighing, and reporting discrepancies
Conduct cart-to-cart transfers at checkout with visual inspection for tampering
Act as receipt checker, verifying cart contents vs. purchases as customers exit
Perform store opening and closing functions at the front end
Assist customers on sales floor to find products and promote store services, focusing on increasing sales and managing shrinkage
Receive inventory shipments, stock shelves neatly with proper rotation (FIFO), perform product quality audits, and report low stock
Label merchandise properly (blaster tagging, catch weight labels, PLU tags)
Replenish sales floor daily from top stock using reach trucks/pallet jacks, ensuring accessibility and visual appeal
Assist with price changes, inventory/cycle counts, special events (Vendor Fairs, resets), and opening/closing duties
Maintain facility safety and cleanliness as part of Customer Courtesy role
