  • Ability to work in various departments (e.g., Meat/Frozen, Produce/Dairy, Dry Goods/Culinary Equipment & Supply)
  • Completion of CHEF’STORE Way training to utilize tools and skills

Responsibilities

  • Ensure impeccable customer experience by developing relationships and assisting customers
  • Perform sales and cash functions efficiently, including scanning, weighing, and looking up products
  • Verify barcodes, report discrepancies, and perform cart-to-cart transfers with visual inspections for tampering
  • Act as receipt checker, verifying cart contents against purchases
  • Perform store opening and closing functions at the front end
  • Increase sales, manage shrinkage, and inform customers of available services
  • Receive inventory shipments, stock shelves neatly, rotate products (FIFO), and conduct quality audits
  • Report low stock levels, label merchandise (blaster tagging, catch weight labels, PLU tags)
  • Replenish sales floor by down-stocking freight from top stock
  • Ensure products are accessible, visually appealing, and available
  • Assist with price changes, special events (e.g., Vendor Fairs, resets), and inventory processes
