More than 10 years of experience in payroll and benefits, including at least 4 years in a leadership or management role
PCP certification required; PLP or CPP certification strongly recommended
Proven experience managing payroll in multiple countries (United States, Canada, and other countries)
In-depth knowledge of labor standards and tax regulations

Responsibilities

Lead global payroll and benefits operations in the United States, Canada, and international entities
Build and manage a high-performing team that ensures accuracy, compliance, and employee support
Collaborate with HR, finance, and legal teams to design scalable and compliant payroll and benefits programs
Optimize systems and vendors to improve automation, compliance, and employee experience
Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant payroll processing using ADP, TriNet, and related platforms
Manage global health, retirement, and benefits programs, including renewals and vendor relationships
Oversee payroll reporting, reconciliations, and audits, serving as escalation point for complex issues
Maintain expertise in payroll, tax, and labor regulations across multiple jurisdictions
Ensure full compliance with legal reporting and audit requirements
Strengthen internal controls, documentation, and audit readiness
Promote process automation and system improvements for accuracy and scalability
Collaborate with HR and finance on integrations and analytics
Lead the strategic transition from a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) to an in-house payroll and benefits model, ensuring seamless implementation of systems, compliance, and scalable processes
Provide strategic reporting on labor costs, benefits utilization, and workforce trends
