Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle to ensure proper working order (tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls)
Report any safety issues on standard reports
Safely operate a heavy truck along designated routes, following route sheets and servicing customers as assigned
Operate manual and/or automatic controls to lift and load refuse, operate a compactor, and dispose of collected material at the designated facility
Courteously interact with customers, dispatchers, and others
Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag them according to procedures
Monitor waste for unacceptable waste
Clean up spills, adhering to safety standards and policies
Monitor vehicle condition to minimize downtime and clean waste from the packer blade and truck body (where appropriate)
Complete route/productivity sheets, VCRs, and other reports
Maintain adherence to productivity standards
Follow all required safety policies and procedures
Actively participate in the Company’s ReSOP program
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
