Requirements

Functions in an entry-level position with increasing proficiency and decreasing onsite supervision
Achieves required training, certifications, and safety requirements for continued employment
Obtains and maintains appropriate licensing and/or background checks based on federal, state, or municipality requirements
Demonstrates ability to navigate digital tools including work order management and digital diagnostics
Adheres to company procedures, safe work practices, National Electric Code (NEC), National Electric Safety Code (NESC), and local ordinances
Uses sound judgment

Responsibilities

Performs installations and changes of service for voice, video, and data services while adhering to procedures, safety practices, codes, and ordinances
Completes all required customer interactions
Performs service calls and troubleshoots the drop from the tap to the customer's equipment
Assesses and designs basic home networks using coaxial cable, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and MoCA based on customer needs
Completes associated record keeping in a timely manner for customer account entry
Determines acceptability of service by reviewing test results, and adjusts or fixes service to provide the best possible quality
For Wi-Fi installation and trouble calls, determines device placement, Wi-Fi network design considering channels, co-channel interference, and utilization; selects device options and provides advanced customer education
Communicates, engages, and educates customers on products, services, channel lineup, applications, equipment use, consumer devices, and company policies
Cleans, maintains, and stocks vehicle and equipment; reports vehicle repair needs, accidents, losses, injuries, or property damage to supervisor and customer
Reconciles with warehouse regarding issued CPE (customer premise equipment)
Properly operates and maintains installation tools, technology, and equipment such as hand tools, power tools, meters, and ladders
Completes field assessments and meets/exceeds company standards/metrics
