Responsibilities
Performs installations and changes of service, adhering to company procedures, safe work practices, NEC, NESC, and local ordinances
Completes all customer interactions as required
Performs service calls and troubleshoots the drop from the tap to the customer's equipment
Assesses and designs basic home networks using coaxial cable, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and MoCA based on customer needs
Completes associated record keeping in a timely manner for customer account entry
Determines acceptability of service, reviews quality via tests, and adjusts/fixes service for optimal customer experience
Supports Wi-Fi installation/trouble calls by determining device placement, Wi-Fi network design (considering channels, interference, utilization), and advanced customer education
Communicates, engages, and educates customers on products/services, including channel lineup, applications, equipment use, consumer devices, and company policies
Cleans, maintains, and stocks vehicle/equipment; reports vehicle repairs, accidents, losses, injuries, or property damage
Reconciles with warehouse regarding issued CPE
Properly operates and maintains installation tools, technology, and equipment (e.g., hand tools, power tools, meters, ladders)
