Capable of performing physical tasks such as loading waste, carrying bags and containers, cleaning, and directing the driver from the ground
Knowledge of safety policies and procedures
Ability to perform pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections
Capable of courteously interacting with customers, dispatchers, and others

Ride on the vehicle and assist the Driver in providing prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services on a designated residential route
Safely load waste and carry bags/containers to the vehicle for disposal
Assist the Driver in maneuvering the vehicle by directing from the ground
Operate packing mechanism and various levers/handles to activate lifting and loading mechanisms
Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body on each disposal trip; spray and clean the hopper and truck if applicable
Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle per company policy and report safety issues
Courteously interact with customers, dispatchers, and others to ensure timely and professional route servicing
Continuously monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable waste
Clean areas around accidental waste spills, adhering to safety standards and policies
Maintain adherence to required productivity standards for timely and efficient customer servicing
Follow all required safety policies and procedures
Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle, route, and work area
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
