Requirements

  • TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph
  • Full-time onsite work in Washington DC (not remote)
  • Detailed understanding of protocols for IP service provider networks (e.g., MP-BGP, ISIS, VxLAN-EVPN, MPLS, L2VPN, L3VPN)
  • Technical expertise in configuration, troubleshooting, and operation of IP-based routers, switches, and security devices
  • Experience with Juniper products: MX, EX, SRX, ACX, PTX
  • Provides technical knowledge and analysis, high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, and implementation advice on complex problems
  • Contributes to project meetings to report status, issues, and risks
  • Participates in all phases of development (planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, presentation)
  • Applies principles, methods, and knowledge to task order or project requirements
  • Uses advanced mathematical principles to solve difficult technical problems in engineering
  • Utilizes complex network analysis tools to identify and correct problems, maintaining logs and records
  • Prepares troubleshooting procedures for restoring network to optimal performance
  • Assesses and documents current site network configuration and user requirements
  • Certifications such as JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE (a plus)
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure
  • Ability to prioritize work to achieve customer and account team goals
  • Expert-level relationship management, communications, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with customer engineers and JTAC to resolve hardware/software issues and implement solutions
  • Ability to communicate case status updates and deliver root cause analysis
  • Ability to support informal and formal technology briefings and training sessions

Responsibilities

  • Provide pre/post-sales Engineering Design/Architecture, Operational, and Support of Juniper products within customer infrastructure
  • Contribute to project meetings to report status, issues, and risks
  • Participate in all phases of development with emphasis on planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, and presentation
  • Apply principles, methods, and knowledge of functional area to specific task order or project requirements
  • Use advanced mathematical principles and methods to solve difficult technical problems in engineering and scientific applications
