Requirements

  • Associates degree preferred with 1+ years’ experience
  • Mechanically inclined with troubleshooting skills
  • Team player and capable of working well with minimal supervision while following safety procedures
  • Comfortable with Electronics and Electric circuits, diagrams, instruments and electrical safety
  • Able to stand during majority of shift, occasionally lift/carry up to 50 pounds and occasionally push/pull up to 10 pounds of force
  • Able to operate crane/hoist and pallet jack
  • Previous experience operating a forklift is an asset
  • Technologist, apprentices or ticketed tradespeople with solid interpersonal skills welcome

Responsibilities

  • Assemble complex components per assembly drawings / bill of material
  • Perform functional testing on assemblies
  • Test assemblies per customer and/or division criteria
  • Operate test equipment in compliance with engineering standards
  • Set, calibrate and maintain assembly tools
  • Perform torquing of various components
  • Distribute quality notifications
  • Read/interpret assembly blueprints
  • Follow written and verbal work instructions
  • Accurately use measuring instruments
  • Provide feedback about ease of assembly / fitment and ergonomics of new designs
