Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound patient phone calls
  • Manage copay collections and communicate with other departments for needs/patient reach out
  • Create partner cases daily
  • Post weekly late cancels
  • Review patient electronic communications daily and delegate as needed
  • Create and maintain billing ledgers for patients with specific insurance requests
  • Assist teammates in larger projects as needed
  • Learn and understand basics of insurance billing (PPOs, HMOs, Medicare, Workers Comp) to support teams
  • Maintain industry-level working knowledge of medical billing in Luna
  • Support admin functions
  • Perform queue-based work (authorizations, insurance payment posting, etc.)
  • Achieve goals set by management (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly) for patient payments and supporting documentation
  • Perform ad hoc tasks at manager's discretion
